I would buy another Quattro machine because I am very happy with mine. In the 3 years that I've had this machine it's clear that this was just really one distributor in the UK who I think gave the company a bit of a bad image. Utiform got rid of him and to be honest service and support and spares etc has never been better. Ever since I've been dealing with the new distributor I can honestly say that the company is now level in quality with the machines they sell. And that's excellent in my opinion.

Plastering Machine User Review

Good Points Very easy to use and just keeps on going. Never get any problems with it.
Bad Points No bad points with machine. Really none. Only criticisms I can say are that in the past Utiform UK have been a bit of pain to deal with regarding customer service, spares etc.

Good and very impressed with it. Easily pumps site mix which is a great advantage over electric machines I've had in the past.

Plastering Machine User Review

Good Points The V2 is my first diesel pump after having electric machines. I like the Utiform people and particularly impressed with the performance of the V2. I really cannot say any of the bad word about it. Its very strong and reliable for me which I use for the rendering and the screeding.
Bad Points No bad points. One little snag was that I bought the V2 with a power washer. But when it was delivered on site it had no power washer with it. In fairness though, they were quick to get that sorted and the mechanic was quick to come and install a pressure washer at a time convenient for me.

Plastering Machine User Review

Good Points Very good for rendering. And this is to do with the duomix action, which no other machine has got. You get consistency every time even when the rotor and stator is working its way out. Other electric machines give you the wet and dry fluctuation when the rotors and stators are getting worn, with constant water adjustments to compensate. With the duomix, pumping just gets slower - so then you simply just change. I've had lots of machines in my time (M3, Quattro, V2, MP35, G4, G5, Brinkman). And I prefer the Duomix 2000 over the lot of them.
Bad Points Yes, it's high priced. And you do need to be a bit of technician sometimes if it throws up a fault.

I use this machine solely for spraying gypsum multifinish and it does a very good job. The spray gun is for fine spraying and it puts the plaster on the wall very fine and very evenly. I did try a machine (a G4) once for putting on bagged multifinish but I found that it just didn't mix the plaster properly enough, it was too lumpy and the plaster just didn't have the same feel or workability. With this machine you mix the plaster up first in a bucket until smooth and creamy, and then you pour this into the PC25's hopper and it sprays lovely. The plaster is really workable as normal. Nice machine for plaster and not too expensive.

Plastering Machine User Review

Good Points I like that this machine can be run straight from 230v. It is lightweight and very easy to get around and put on small domestic jobs, which I do a lot of.
Bad Points It does only really deal with readymix products.

I've said it all above. It's a great machine. Like any piece of equipment which is highly engineered, treat it well and keep it serviced and it will never give you any real problems. I have 3 of these machines now. Each one goes out with a competent crew, a good tool kit and a machine operator with lots of knowledge. I've heard people say that these machine have given them nothing but trouble. But when you actually ask them what tolerance or setting a particular component needs to be set at or what precisely that component does and what it regulates or controls, they can't tell you. There's your answer.

Plastering Machine User Review

Good Points I love this machine. It does everything I could ever need it to do except site mix sand and cement. It pumps all gypsum plasters, external renders, brick mortar, adhesives, flowing screed etc, and with the wet hopper pumps ready mix materials such as bucket coat renders and multifinish (if you want to run it through that way already mixed). The fact that it has the frequency inverter you can turn the speed down to accommodate the different material types.
Bad Points It's still a bit too high priced I think. A couple or a few grand cheaper would be good and more people would buy it. It's a little harder to contain the mess when cleaning down as with other machines out there. And as with most machines, the wheels are a pain trying to get the machine around a building over rubble and type 1 etc. But I've found a great company who make caterpillar tracks for all different machines and got some fitted. Now I just move it around on site like a radio controlled car!

I love the Rokamat and it should be in everyone's toolkit. It's great that you can get many, many changeable heads for it, for just about every job you might need to do.

User Review

Good Points
Mainly I do external rendering so don't use it all that frequently. But when you do actually need this machine, my god you're pleased that you bought it. It makes such light work of taking an initial crust off (if it's gone very hard over-night), and also for milling back external boards perfectly for an easy tight coat of LAC.
Bad Points Hmmm... a bit high priced I think. It would be nice if the price were a bit lower.

I bought this generator brand new from a company called Nixons. For the price I think you get a hell of a lot of generator. It was still under warranty and it developed a problem. And Nixons REFUSED to honour this warranty. I had to get someone else to fix it in the end, as I relied upon and needed this generator for my work.

I wouldn't actually buy this size of generator again, because for my kind of set up it is far too big. If it was road-towable then fine. But you have to transport it in the back of van and it's just too big. There are much better and much more compact ones on the market now.

I also heard that this type of generator was mainly sold as a back-up power supply in the states. And not generally for construction work.
